Job Description
We are seeking a Backend Engineer who can bridge our machine learning workflows with the production backend systems. You'll be responsible for integrating ML models into our Django-based platform, designing and scaling APIs, and ensuring our services are fast, reliable, and secure.
This is a hybrid role ideal for someone with a solid backend foundation and working knowledge of deploying ML pipelines in production.
Key Responsibilities
- 3+ years of backend development experience, primarily with Python and Django.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Optimize database queries and manage data structures for performance and reliability.
- Hands-on experience integrating ML models into production backend systems and APIs (preferably in Python using tools like PyTorch).
- Work with Python and Django to build, optimize, and scale backend services.
- Implement asynchronous processing (Celery, Redis) for scalable ML model inference.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure reliability and performance.
Preferable Experience
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and deploying scalable services.
- Basic understanding of data privacy principles and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity working with Linux.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in backend programming (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, Java, etc.).
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Django ORM).
- Understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud deployments.
- Experience with message queues (e.g., Redis).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus).
